Football comes a day earlier. Heard they coulda moved it to Sat night but we have an early Sat game the following week at Michigan.

HS has plenty of time to move their games to Thu if desired

I'm fine with this gives an extra day for rest and practice before an early game the next week on the road.

Titans announced three new hires:

-Bennie Contrino: Director of Strategy & Analytics
-Jonathan Gress: Director of Rehabilitation & Reconditioning
-Charron Sumler: Director of Mental Wellness & Performance

OU’s lead football trainer heading back to the NFL, this time with the Titans. Gress was with the Sooners for one season after coming over from the Saints.

The search for a replacement is already underway, I’m told. The hope is to have someone in place before fall camp.

Sam Bradford on why he reached out to Mateer, wanting to help: “I was just looking for a way to get back into a football a little bit… I think as you get older, you realize there’s a way that you can give back to someone who’s younger than you.”

@GeorgeStoia

What kind of discussions did Sam Bradford and John Mateer have in the film room?

Bradford: “I thought it was always good to watch tape and just hear someone else’s process and kind of how they evaluated the defense, what they saw pre-snap, how they would read it post-snap, how they would move protection based on any threats they saw, why they saw those threats.”

That's super cool. Bradford has been very low-profile since giving up football. Fun fact: Sam's dad was my wrestling coach a long-arse time ago

Me too, love Sam being involved. He got such a bad deal in NFL and it hurt him physically being on such a bad team. Ruined what could have been a great one.

He would make a good coach but has a great life already. But if he got the itch I think he’d be good at it. Our offenses back then were so awesome. Loved how Sam made his way.

He’s the only one. And wasn’t a starter right? Regardless, this is super rare in NIL era to have almost every starter as a recruit who was groomed and excelled.

To add, he never played football at tOSU it was rugby or some other sport. Main point is his football skills were developed at OU not a prior school.

Really shows how strong the program is to fend off higher money offers in off season. Means players value the team and coaches more than money. Which means Brent has built something special.
