I did except for the dreary weather. I miss the sun.

Cool town.

Update from yesterday:

After I left LOTO, I drove straight to Bur Oak Brewery. I left disappointed as the tap room was closed.

I then headed downtown and went to Broadstreet Brewery. I didn't like it much. It was dark and again the IPAs were weak. I guess that I'm used to a stronger IPA. Every IPA I've had here in the Mid-West has been low on hop flavor. I also tried their Smoked Trout Hushpuppies and they were just OK IMO.

The game was going on and I didn't want to watch with Mizz students surrounding me so I didn't seek out another bar downtown.

I went back to my hotel and watched the game at the sports bar attached to the building.

I had a White IPA that I liked. Can't remember the name. Had their chicken philly back in the room and finished watching the game (congrats to Mizzou). Then off to bed.

This morning I'm packing up, doing some paperwork for work and getting ready to head out to STL. Just had that terrible hotel breakfast due to time. I wanted to go to some cafe but time is running short.

Hope to hit the arch and quick hitter at the zoo today depending on how this stupid paperwork goes today. I have to finish it before I get into the beer tonight.

Let us know what you think of the zoo. I love the one over in Memphis and I try to make it out there a couple of times a year. From what I understand the St. Louis zoo is quite a bit better then ours.

Too rainy for the zoo and arch right now.

Saw Morgan Street brewery so I went there. Near the arch so when it stops raining I'm going to see it and the park.

Btw, the pizza at the brewery is like cheap frozen pizza. No way they made the crust. Just terrible.

Beer is fine but not a single IPA. Was told the owner is against IPA beers because everyone brews them. Well, I have bad news for him. Everyone brews lagers too.

If you want better beer (and I think better atmosphere, go to Urban Chestnut in STL.
