I bet. Looking back at the Invasion of Iraq is a giant facepalm. It was Vietnam all over again, but without the insane casualty rate. We had no business there. It was fear mongering at its finest, and Trump is definitely taking a page out of the "Global War on Terra" playbook to fear monger about his southern border "crisis"

I have a vet buddy who talked one day about being stationed in Albania. I said "Why were you in Albania?" He said, "To guard our airfield."

Pakistanis are claiming they shot down two Indian Air Force Mig-21s over Kashmir, one fell on the Pakistani side of the LoC, the other on the Indian. One Indian Pilot is in Pakistani custody. LINK

Iraq was worse than Vietnam in some ways. At least with Vietnam you can point to a real ideological conviction behind it; Domino theory, which sort of turned out to be true and the resulting fight against the creep of communism.

And... as sure and as certain... as the setting sun, India and Pakistan are edging into war.
Considering that our dear Pakistani allies have provided the know how to at least two governments devoted to overthrowing the US when it comes to Atomic Weapons...
If this comes to a full war we should do what we can to neutralize Pakistan silos and let India put them in the dirt once and for all.
I am no great admirer of the India government but they have not spent the last two decades doing their best to undermine the global political goals of the United States.

We have backed them for decades because, hard to imagine, they were originally a Chinese sycophant. We, at the time, wanted to suck up to China so we backed Pakistan despite their amazing record of genocide and backing terrorist groups.
This is a monster we helped to create.
