Alexei Leonov, the first person to do an EVA died today at the age of 85.

On his last birthday two Russian Cosmonauts did an EVA and, fittingly, he died while two American Astronauts were doing an EVA today.

His famous mission where he spacewalked was beset by problems. His suit inflated in the vacuum of space and he had to drain air out of it just to get back in the capsule. The capsule would later overfill with oxygen, and in a crowning moment of aggravation, landed well off course in the middle of Siberia.

Rumor has it the more robust lifting capacity of Russian rockets was in order to haul his massive balls into space.

Tip back a shot of vodka tonight for one of the great pioneers of exploring space.

Russia is a country filled with willfully ignorant backwards inbred morons, but I will forever have respect for their cosmonauts.
