Just got back from a week long Caribbean cruise... Time to burn off all the drinks and food.

Chest/tris is always the first workout starting back.

I hit one rep of 195 on the standing military press today at 215 pounds. Is that good?

Pretty much means I lifted 195 pounds over my head one time while standing up lol.

I'm guessing you primarily just run long distance?

That's what I'm doing right now. Going to get some free weight action started after the summer to build strength around my shoulders.

I want to be in great all around physical shape going into my 50's

Pretty damn good. Got engaged, so now I'm trying to finish law school, work full-time and plan a wedding. I'm a gluten for punishment.

I actually just joined a gym and yesterday was my second day working out. Kinda proud of myself Need to tone up for the wedding dress.

How ya been hun?

Got any suggestions for toning arms, back and abs? I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Abs is going to be 95% diet. Back I'd go with overhead press, pull ups and dips. For arms, curls I guess?

tele is right on the abs, its huge to kill it in the kitchen. Abs are made in the kitchen with a good diet. I would suggest hanging knee lifts until you can do hanging leg lifts, a russian twist and a side db is good for abs to tone up the sides. I also like the bike kicks alot. I feel like i get the best results if I do abs between sets of my workout.

back: push ups, pull ups, rows,

arms: skull crushers for triceps, twist curls, hammer curls, close grip bench for triceps. I like rope curls and pull downs as well. I like using the triangle bar for tricep pull downs as well.

Checkout bodybuilding.com, they have alot of workouts and information on diets.
