Apple recently updated to a new version of iOS 11 for the iphone. In doing so, they added a new image format called "*.heic" to replace jpeg. So now when you shoot pictures on your phone, they will store in a new high density file format that will save space on the phone. The problem is that Windows has no idea what this is. So, if you save the image to cloud or to concur, you may find the images you took will now show up as "picture name.heic". unreadable for most windows applications.
Here is a free link to convert these back to jpeg. LINK /
You can also prevent this issue by opening up your iphone settings, navigating to "Camera" and changing the setting to "most compatible" rather that the "high efficiency image conversion" shown now as default. MSFT will no doubt catch up to this in a later update, but for those who regularly back up images to cloud, this could be helpful.

Nice try.
No way I am letting you hack my phone and get access to my camera with your fancy Russian spyware.
Just kidding. Thanks for the help!

I know Apple is losing to Android, this should make it faster.

Not sure why you were downvoted. Apple products are garbage.
