Never seen Cowboy Beebop but I've heard it compared to an anime version of Firefly and I loved Firefly

Yea that’s an apt comparison. Similar vibes.

Only had the tape of the first episode growing up, so if I couldn't catch it on tv and wanted to watch it, I'd have to watch Goku get killed in the censored version

I have the first two sagas on blu ray

Also have most of the 90s DBZ movies on DVD. Even though they aren't canon and it's weird to hear the characters with different voice actors, I still like them

First thing you'll need to do is learn to spell Buu correctly

The easiest way to watch nowadays would be to buy a subscription to funimation or crunchy roll, but if you're like me and don't want to do that then there are plenty of places you can find online to watch for free, they'll just give your computer AIDS

meh I may just buy the blu rays. Then I can watch and rewatch without fear of my computer croaking

Streaming has killed physical media. I miss the video store

I only bought the sagas that I do have on blu ray because that happened to be at second and Charles for relatively cheap when I've been in there randomly

Physical media is a hassle. Signed, millennial who had limewire running and downloading mp3s the entire duration of my high school career

I didn't have good internet growing up. Cable company almost made it out to where I lived but not quite. So it was either dial up or satellite, neither unlimited, both garbage.
Thus physical media was key to entertainment and I still hold a place in my heart for it. I also don't wanna pay for cable for sports, on top of multiple streaming services

I just use the watchESPN app on my Xbox and access it using the cable subscription of a family member. If a game I want to watch isn't on an ESPN channel then 99% of the time it's because it's on a network channel and I can just use the digital antenna for that.
