Surround yourself with things that make you feel like home is how I normally do it.

You must be young.

With today's technology you aren't ever truly "away" from home. Hell, my 89 year old grandfather texts me every day.
I don't get homesick. I miss my wife and kids, but I get to Skype with them everyday so it helps.
Focus on something extracurricular while you're over here. School, getting in shape, learn the native language, etc.
Just remember that it's not forever my man. You'll be home before you know it.

92 Y unit supply specialist iswydt with the juicy girls comment

Just so you know, it's a tradition for fresh 92Ys to present a box of tampons and a 2062 to their First Sergeant during in-processing. They may not have taught you that in AIT but it shows you're prepared and knowledgeable about customs and courtesies. Don't frick it up.

Good luck dude, the u gon die thing was a meme, I didn't mean it. You'll have fun and should get a decent assignment afterward. Just stay out of trouble. Ridiculously easy to get in trouble over there.

No, I just wear grunt style t-shirts and drive a Camaro.

2ID used to publish this "Warrior Justice" thing with all the stories of people getting in trouble. I guess they got a new CG and he nixed it but you can still view cached archives of it through wayback. LINK

That CW2 in the first paragraph sounds like he'd be a blast at a party.

Just be thankful you're not in the desert right now. Almost 3 years ago to the day, I stepped off a plane at 0400 in the Middle East and it was already 110 degrees.

Yeah it's hot and muggy in Korea right now, but it'll be a whole lot better in 3 weeks. The Middle East? Not so much.

No way. Desert > humidity.
