And UGA winning the East is all but a forgone conclusion. I looked today while at the MGM Grand and it shows UGA -110 to win their conference. If anything I'm posting is incorrect please feel free to correct me.
How much would a person win if they put $1,000 on UGA to win the SECe?

been a while since I did sports betting (poker guy mayself) but if I remember correctly you would wager a thousand to potentially win 900. IMO not a good bet.
And Mark Richt convinced me years ago that I will never bet on UGA to cover. I realize that is not applicable here but still...

Sure, I'll bite.

UGA -110
100/110 --> 10/11 odds
So if you placed $1,000 on UGA, Animal is correct — you could win:
10/11 = 0.909 x $1,000 = $909.09 (paid out as $1,909.09 after you spent $1,000 on the ticket)
BTW, at 10/11, Vegas therefore assumes that out of every 21 bets (10+11), 10 will miss and 11 will hit.
The implied odds are thus 11/21, or a 52.38% chance that UGA will win the East.

Just for giggles, let's say UT is +1400 to win the SEC.
1400/100 --> 140/10 --> 14/1 odds
So if you placed $1,000 on UT, you could win:
14/1 = 14 x $1,000 = $14,000 (paid out as $15,000 after you spent $1,000 on the ticket)
At 14/1, Vegas therefore assumes that out of every 15 bets (14+1), 14 will miss and 1 will hit.
The implied odds are thus 1/15, or a 6.67% chance that UT will win the SEC.
