He was one of those actors who was so... profound, you just bought into what he was saying. There is a clip of him from the early days of Sesame Street reciting the alphabet and it is perfect.
He had a damn good run. What more can any of us hope for?

My childhood he was the voice of Mufasa. Later he was Vader(much later, Star Wars was an acquired taste). He narrated Earth. He’s one of the comforting voices of growing up a Disney kid. Very sad day.

His entire acting career can be summed up in about 5 minutes from 1 movie; The Sandlot.......when he goes from grumpy dude to smiling happy baseball guy.......
