It may be too late for the Gatlinburg area. Mandatory evacuations of the entire city and also parts of Pigeon Forge. One FB post from the relative of a firefighter when asked about downtown Gatlinburg said "It's gone".

Gatlinburg and pigeon forge are on fire tonight. Rain got there a day too late.
That is very sad. Beautiful towns....I hope it's just in the woods.

I just saw the news footage....that's insane. Gatlinburg is one of the more beautiful places in the southeast...I hope all of it's buildings are ok!
