Well the comics end up with Rick taking over a colony, allying with a 2nd colony and making war on a third. I can see something like that happen with this.

This. I have realized that most of the acting sucks. I guess their budget goes to special effects, and the actors never know when they might be killed off so they aren't as invested into their roles as other shows.

Some of the best-acted characters are long gone. And they kill so many walkers that the special effects just don't do anything for me anymore.

Totally disagree with the acting and especially the script. Both are good all around IMO. TWD is 4 season in, and looks like it has at least 1 more good season in it. There aren't many shows that haven't jumped the shark by season 4. Scandal (was good for 1 season), Breaking Bad, Dexter, and most others are caricatures of themselves by season 4.

And Darryl's hair struck me as looking unwashed, greasy, and unkept, not emo.
