Oh, its true

The Psychological Effects of Air Pollution
Although a rich literature exists documenting the negative relationship between air pollution and physiological health (e.g., Liu et al., 2021), little has been done to examine the role of air pollution in psychological health. That is, until a clever study was recently published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. In the study, titled "Air Pollution Reduces Interpersonal Trust: The Roles of Emotion and Emotional Susceptibility," researchers utilized three different experimental designs to test their hypothesis that air pollution would reduce one's level of trust in others (what the researchers referred to as "social trust" or "interpersonal trust").
