this already has more press than the ND girl from last year.

Didn't that come out that she was giving him lap dances the whole night and took him into the room holding his hand, and she cried rape afterwards?

Even her friends said it was totally consensual.

No, not in the Lizzy Seeburg case. She reported the incident to the ND police, then started getting intimidating text messages from members of the football team. 10 days after she reported it, she committed suicide. (Had a history of depression, but no previous suicidal incidents and not known to make up stories.) When she died, it had been in the hands of ND police for 10 days, and they still hadn't talked to the football players in question. Six months later, ND finally held a hearing, and found the player "not responsible"; he never missed a game.

And even if she had given him lap dances, if she didn't want to have sex with him and he forced it it's still rape. From stuff I read, it wasn't this player's first rodeo with the law.

A few months after the Lizzie Seeburg case, another freshman went to the hospital for a rape exam after claiming she was raped at a party by a football player. She got the same kind of intimidating text messages and felt threatened enough not to file a formal report.

ND brushed some stuff under the rug for the sake of their football team.

I don't know what happened in the Ohio case, other than what was in the article. Girls should be cautious and not put themselves in bad or misleading positions, for sure. But athletes can't think they're entitled to sex either.

Lizzy's case is one of the saddest involving college football corruption that I can recall, but I'm sure there's been thousands whose claims were brushed aside just like hers. Intimidation is another extension of the sexual assault. It's really a shame that a girl took her own life because of the way ND was handling it.

It really speaks to that University's character that they'd let a student die in vain while on their campus.

I still wonder who the football player was who did it. It's a shame they didn't stand up for the girl in the rape case the way they stood by Manti Te'o with his fake girlfriend.

Prince Shembo was the player she said assaulted her. According to message board chatter, no paper ever printed his name.
