It still didn't change my opinion that Pinkel has lost this team. I see no reason to believe that any of this is going to get any better. Yosts poor play calling will by magnified with JF out.
Time to face the hard facts. The Gary Pinkel era may have run its course. Yes, there are injuries up front, and to the QB, but everything is different about this team. From the lack of discipline and stupid penalties to the seeming lack of any sort of gamplan on offense. Although, I will admit they seemed to have something going before JF got hurt.
And what the hell was that nonsense going into halftime? Let the clock run down, take a timeout, and then go 5 wide on 4 and 1? Pinkel has NEVER been a great game coach, but he's regressed this year. He's distracted and lacks focus and its showing every week.

The punter penalty on Madison was stupid especially since he almost did it again on the re-punt. There are too many mental errors and the offense looks abysmal. Plays look vanilla and simple and still the execution is terrible. I am not ready to can HCP over it but I definitely expect more than what we are getting.

I thought that penalty was on Richardson. Regardless, I frankly wouldn't be surprised if this team doesn't win another game this year. They're going to get pounded into oblivion by Alabama and the team may just completely shut down after that.
I really did like what Pinkel has done for the program over the years, but I too wonder if his era is over. The one thing I believe more and more every week is that this offensive scheme has to be scrapped. Whether it is the offensive play calling or the scheme, this offense hasn't run the same since Daniel. I hate to lose Yost's contributions to recruiting, but sometimes I feel like he is drawing up plays and then calling them on game days like he was playing on x-box.
I understand the injuries. I understand shite happens sometimes. But with the higher quality players we've been getting the last several years, yesterday should have never happened. The spread has to go. I stayed away from jumping on this bandwagon, but Yost has to go. Pinkel has to have the backbone to make changes to adjust to the SEC or he has to go.

You are certainly not alone with this thinking. Pinkel did bring the program back to life and Yost has demonstrated recruiting strength. BTW, if we can't adapt, we may find ourselves at the bottom of the food chain in the SEC for a very long time.
