Why is Mizzou not ranked in top 20?

If we had josey back I would guarantee a top 20 finish, but we still return murphy, hansbrough, mauk, DGB, ray, golden and brothers. Is returning all that from a top 5 team not worthy of even a top TWENTY-five ranking?

We are losing alotttt. Nearly half our starters if i'm not mistaken, and our senior QB.
Doesn't look good on paper.
Really doesn't matter though, we will play how we play regardless of preseason rankings and it should only give them fire.

Lose starting QB, starting RB, 2 starting WR, starting LT, starting TE, starting LG, 2 starting DE's (1 All American), 2 starting DB's, starting LB. That's a lot of new pieces and for anyone not intimately familiar with Mizzou and what will be filling in those spots I can understand how they wouldn't have us in the top 20 to start the year. Just go out and earn it again and it will take care of itself.

I think players like Beisel and others will help fill the vacancies.

I think so too but for some analyst who has never heard of Beisel or any of the other replacements, short of Mauk, I get why they don't rank us in the top 25 before the season starts.
