I think what Nick is trying to say is Haith is good at getting to the NIT, and indeed that's where we are, so we better like it

Not what I said, Nobody should accept playing in the NIT, I'm just showing you areas Haith has been effective since arriving at Mizzou. If we were getting blown out in games this season I could be more inclined to be upset, but the fact of the matter is we were in almost every game this season and the scoring margin in wins/losses was 3.40. Even in games this season when we didn't perform well I like the fact that Haith was willing to call out his players in the media and have accountability among the players. I don't know how many times Haith insisted his team needed to defend. How much of that is his fault when his players won't accept coaching?
I believe a proper bench mark for next season is to win at least 25 games with the talent we have next season, and if we fail to make the tournament again than it's time for Haith to go.

I just have a problem with Haith in general. We start out the season with him being suspended for 5 or so games,,,,, sorry, but where there is smoke, there is fire. I can't picture the script where he wins a majority of us over.

This is why I give him zero "benefits of the doubt."

100%

He either recruited the wrong type of player who won't take coaching or his communication skills suck in trying to coach.

Reedus,

Is there a coach at Mizzou that you don't want fired?

Ehren Earleywine, Brian Smith, Wayne Kreklow and I'd add Robin Pingeton. I'd add Pinkel. I was wrong about him it would seem.

I reality, I don't want to see any coaches fired. I want to see every coach producing teams that excel. And being excellent should be the bar. If they can't achieve that, then someone else needs to be given the chance. Just having a program for the sake of having a program is not what I look for personally.

Beyond that, all I stated there is that the buck stops with the coach. If a team is talented but doesn't execute, it falls back on the coach for not knowing how to get his team to execute or for recruiting kids that aren't coachable. If a team isn't talented, it falls back on the coach for recruiting kids with a lack of talent.

I've also been on record saying Haith should be given another year, and likely two, but that doesn't mean I can't give my opinion on what I think his shortcomings have been, particularly in a season in which they failed miserably.
