Been a bit...but Mizzou Wrestling added some additional Signees and transfers for next season. Not sure on some of these guys, but I'm sure a few will see the lineup next year.

Aaron Assad- Purdue transfer- RS SO- Pretty sure he will have to sit out the season, but could be a solid 125 starter in 2016. Picked up a few solid wins in the brutal Big Ten.

Jayden Bears - Staley - Fr- Redshirt likely.

Alex Butler - Rockford IL - FR - Interesting pickup. His brother transferring in too. Probably a 133 or 141 guy...but an interesting prospect. Might see a redshirt with the strength in these spots now.

Blaise Butler - Rockford IL - RS SR - ACC Runner-up last season at 174. 2X NCAA qualifier. #5 seed at last years tournament, lost in blood round. Assuming he is a grad transfer, He will likely start at 165 or 174 this season...GREAT PICKUP!!!!

Jaydin Clayton - Columbia MO - FR - Undefeated Missouri HS career. Should probably compete from Day 1 for a starting spot in 125-141 range.

Nick and Phil DeLoach - Alton IL - FR - Couple twins who are solid....Very similar to the Lester twins from St. Louis who ended up at Oklahoma. Wrestled 145 and 152 in HS. Tough kids, but probably redshirt this season.

Austin Eveler - Lee Summitt - FR - Practice kid likely.

Chandler Fohey - Hannibal - FR - 3 timer. Could challenge for 125 spot.

Luke Fortuna - Lombard IL - FR - Probably a redshirt this year

Kevin Kissane - Wichita KS - FR - Wild Card. Good in freestyle/greco, but not great at folkstyle. These type can become very good in college, or fizzle out. Redshirt for sure.

Grant Leeth - Duke. Kearney MO - RS FR - Duke transfer. Will have to sit out...but was solid at Duke. Don't know why he transferred. Could be a stud in 2016.

Keegan McCormick - Lee Summitt - FR - Good Freestyle/Greco Kid. Probably a redshirt.

Seth Pesek - Gardner KS - FR - Don't know much on this kid. Wrestled 220 last season.

Will Roark - Seneca - FR - This kid is built like a brick house. 133/141 type kid. Dominated a lower class in Missouri, but has done very well at national tournaments too. Could challenge for a spot this year

James Romero - New Mexico - Fr - Heavyweight from NM who I know next to nothing about. If Cox stays at 197. Might be starting HWT, who knows?

Nick Scherer - St. Louis - FR - Brother of Mizzou linebacker Michael Scherer. Another brother wrestled and was an All American at Stanford. Not sure about Nick though.

Quinn Smith - Columbia MO/SD State - RSFR - Transferring from SD State. Son of Coach Smith.

Dalton Voyles - Pacific - FR - Decent upper weight type kid who needs the weight room. Redshirt.

Dylan Wisman - Winchester VA - FR - The jewel of the class. Kid is legit, and will likely find spot in the lineup if J'Den goes to HWT. Might be this year or next year, but the kid will be a stud.

Lineup predictions next....

I'll go through by weight.

125 - Multiple options now that Waters is graduated. Barlow McGhee started the year when Waters redshirted and almost NCAA qualified. Chase Brennan wrestled in the spot a few times last year for Waters. Assad will sit out I think, but if not, he might start. Fohey might challenge.......Toss Up here. Peak here is probably a NCAA qualifier who wins a match or two at nationals. I'm going with semi-incumbent McGhee to start the season.

133 - Zach Synon is back, but so is Matt Manley. Manley struggled with weight last season, leading to Synon's emergence. Jaydin Clayton or Will Roark might Challenge for the spot. I think Manley wins the spot, although it might go to Synon again. NCAA qualifier should happen.

141 - Lavion Mayes was an All American last season, and the spot is his if he stays here. If he moves up....Roark, Clayton, Manley, Synon, Le'Roy Barnes will all challenge. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayes moves up, but who knows. Mayes should All American...but if its someone else, its anyones guess

149- Houdashelt is gone. Le'Roy Barnes was a JUCO national champ, and the fill in last season.Probably the guy here if not Mayes. See 141 for expectations.

157 - Lavallee - NCAA Qualifier who is back. No fuss here. NCAA qualifier again...outside shot to AA

165- Tricky.... could be Cody Johnston who started the season before Mikey England took over. Daniel Lewis and matt Lemancowicz looked good in tournaments last season. Total Toss Up here.

174 - With Eblens graduation...I fully expect this to be all Blaise Butler..which might be an upgrade. NCAA Qualifier at minimum. Should probably AA

184 - Willie Miklus - All American is back. If he can work on his consistency, should be an AA again.

197 - J'Den. I personally think we see him move to Heavy, but if not, he is here. If he moves up, I think we see Wisman here. Freshman you never know, but Wisman is legit.

285 - J'den or James Romero I guess after mellons graduation. Wood Manscuso and Pesek are big enough to go here too.

Certainly LOTS of turnover. Have to see how folks are looking in a few months to get a better idea...but I like that we have a solid core of SOPH and JR's.

Already found my first error....Apparently Leeth got a full release from Duke, which I guess lets him compete right away.....consider him for the 141-149 slots.

Nice break down 5th. Was just thinking about doing something on these guys. Just stacked at 133-141. I think because of that, I really see Mayes moving up to 149. I hope so and hope he can handle that weight. What I'd like to see?

125 No clue. It will be a step backwards from Waters regardless, so a number of kids will probably get a shot throughout the year. I don't know if he could stay at this weight and stay effective, but would if he can, would love to see the freshman Clayton work in here.

133 Not a huge Synon fan. I'd love to see Roark beat him out. That could only be a good thing if he does.

141 Manley moves up to 141. Barnes can push him here or push Mayes at 149.

149 Would love to see Mayes be able to be successful at this weight.

157 Not a huge Lavalle fan either but if he improves, great. Unless I'm thinking of the wrong guy, his style is just so unorthodox.

165 Really thin here. Besides the guys you mentioned, is the other Miklus any good?

174 Still kind of thin but will take your word on Butler.

184 Miklus all day long.

197 Wisman steps up and is as advertised.

215 Cox moves up and has too much quickness for any other big man to handle.

Obviously, some of these guys would have to be just as effective at the new weights as they were last year's weights, but we have to try to find a way to spread all that talent at 133-141 out to more classes. That would be 3 true freshmen starting too. Not sure about that but I do think those 3 are legitimate(Clayton/Roark/Wisman).

Was looking a bit at 165. Seems Lewis had the better year last year. 21-8 with 19 of those wins coming by either a major decision(4) or fall(15).
