And I want him to succeed. I'm not one of these who will root for the team to lose to replace a coach, that's silly.
I would love to be wrong and have them make the Final Four this year.

I'm more concerned with his actual coaching.
So, I'm of the opinion that the players just aren't running the system. Last year, Flip was the problem. This year, there is literally no offense to run with the collection of players we have. I've got to continue to see improvement in coaching acumen next year. No doubt about it.

The thing is I actually like Haith and I'm hoping he succeeds here. He seems like a good guy. He seems to be all in on Mizzou. I just really dislike this team he's put together. I also think the loss of Nester really hurt us. I hope he gets this thing turned around soon cause this garbage sucks.

More than any of us can know. I think he was the glue during Haith's first year, and they ran him off. From what I understood, they wanted him to spend a lot more time on the road recruiting, and he wanted to focus more on the Xs and Os. Which I can understand given his age, he was in his mid to late 50s, I think.
Anyway, I agree - we are really missing his presence. No one is filling the role he managed so well.

mid 50's. Holy crap. And he's still alive? Does he need a walker? Supplemental oxygen?

I'm just saying he didn't want to spend all his time on the road recruiting. He was sort of done with that. He didn't want to be a primary recruiter anymore, and that's what haith wanted. So he went elsewhere. I can understand it. When your a manager of people, you use people to their best abilities. I just didn't think, based on what I heard, that they were doing that with Nestor.
