He might work at a place like Alabama where the players are essentially already NFL ready. Mizzou will always be a developmental school for 2*,3* and occasionally 4* recruits. The type of assistant coaches for that are usually different than Wilks or Derek "I want my money" Dooley. A coach like Ryan Walters was a better fit than Wilks even if he didn't have the experience, at least the players are open to listening to him. They've obviously tuned Wilks out.

There is plenty of video to back that up from yesterdays game.. The D didn't hustle, didn't hit, and gave up on tackles.
