What exactly was Franklin's injury? Shoulder, but which one? His throwing arm?

Yeah, he sprained his throwing shoulder. They said 3-5 weeks, next weekend will be the 6th, I believe. They're saying he's 100% in practice. They were being cautious since it's the same shoulder he had surgery on last year. Hopefully, he's completely back. We need him to close the season.

At this point in both of their careers, Franklin is the better QB in all aspects of the game. However, he has also been pretty rusty when coming back from time off. Therefore, I'm glad Pinkel is willing and prepared to play both QBs'. Very smart move.

How long or short that leash should be is dictated but how effective Franklin is and how the course of the game is going. I think Franklin was playing balls out before the injury, but we are in a race to win the East. You play them both and whoever has the hotter hand you go with. Let Franklin of course start and hope he does well. If he does, still give Mauk a few series to keep him game ready because you never know when we may need him again this year. Use the same approach for the aTm game.

We have two really good QB but I'm rooting for Franklin to work the cobwebs out and return to form. He is a good kid, senior, and would like him to go out with style. Mauk still scares me some with his inexperienced decision making, but have no prob with him taking over the reins in either game if Franklin struggles.

We must go with the hot hand and who gives us our best chance of winning, regardless.
