Oh, I agree - he started in a terrible position, and his recruiting has been great when you consider where he started. It's the in-game coaching that has me concerned. But I'm not calling for his head or anything. Yet, anyway.

Let's consider one more point about the situation Haith inherited. Andersons last 2 recruiting classes were:

Dixon, DeWitt, Stone & Underwood
Phil & Matt Pressey, Ratliff, Mitchell, Kerklow, Green

As we know DeWitt and Mitchell never made it to campus. Not only did Anderson not recruit anyone when he left his remaining past high school recruits were the seniors and soph Phil Pressey and junior Mike Dixon. Pressey leaves after his junior year and Dixon never sees the floor his senior year. Tough sledding for any coach to over come. It has been a mad scramble for Haith to find players and still be competitive.

I don't know I'd support firing Haith after this year, but this is his third year. I completely get the mess he was left and cut him a break with the first class, balancing things out. But then his next class included:

Bull: Gone
NWC: Gone
Janko: Gone
Rosburg: Role player at best
Haith: Enough said. Whatever.

Time will tell if JW3, Clark and Jones, followed by Gant and Wright are what they're claimed to be but the time for Haith to have the excuse of MA's leaving a mess is coming to an end awfully fast.

I think the issue is that we're having the year this year that we expected last year. He came in and did well his first 2 years, with left over players and transfers. But when those transfers came in, they had a core team already in place to work with. So, the results were better than expected, and expectations were set.

Now, all those guys are gone, and it's transfers and freshmen. When I look at it this way, I'm not as surprised we're struggling and not playing up to our potential. It's just so frustrating to watch. Haith is a victim of the expectations he set by being successful the past 2 seasons.

Agree and disagree semo. Even if we finished 10th in the SEC last year, being 10th in the SEC this year wouldn't make me feel any better.
