That's the only stance they can possibly take.

How would they potentially walk into a living room of a recruit in the future going against what is essentially "blacks under attack" as they are posing.

It's not that confusing. They are literally backed into a corner and whether they agree or not they are going to be forced to act like they do as to not be considered racist.

Same with any white authority figure at the University.

Thinly veiled ruse.

Young people love a cause. Be a part of something bigger than you. It's a rush.

I saw a tweet from a Black Student at Mizzou.

To the effect "It so great to be part of black Mizzou right now".

Hmmm, really? Just hours ago it was so bad that one student felt starving himself was a prudent response to the massive injustice he was facing.

I just don't get how you are so invested in this that this gets you more fired up than Ricker sucking dick.

So it must be pretty damn bad for them to risk all of that.

Or they are part of a mob mentality and have no concern of consequences. Additionally they know Missouri can do nothing because if they were to suspend these kids for not meeting their obligations which would happen anywhere in the real world, the university would be further lynches for the mistreatment of black youth.

I think you're missing the whole point.

Clearly, since there isn't one.

There's more going on in COMO than just that, not that that alone isn't a problem when it's pervasive.

Orly? Do tell, do tell!

Don't disagree with the thought that they don't have to but why the angst if they did or were asked to? Is it really such a bad thing to speak out against the racist minority? And no, not everyone thinks it's wrong. That's part of the problem.

Who says they were? In what forum? Yet again, I am sure they are asked to do a lot of different things, time and feelings do not permit them all be accomplished. You are also speaking of the minute minority that are causing these problems. This isn't 1850, African American's have MORE rights and opportunities than their counter parts. Quotas for schooling/promotions, black only scholarships, requirements to interview a certain percentage of a minority. Give me a fricking break.

Yeah, that would affect change.

Guess what won't? Trying to strong arm your way into getting someone to do something by breaking your contractual obligation with them. This is blackmail in every form. The problem is these kids cannot and will not be held accountable due to skin pigmentation. fricking hilarity.

I don't see how the two are even remotely related, but I guess I could question the converse with you, no?

Why is it black Mizzou, or white Mizzou, or anything other than just Mizzou??? Isn't that part of the problem they want addressed? That "black" is different than "white" at Mizzou, or anywhere else?

Meh. Probably a bit of all of it going on. I can tell you I've talked with my daughter about how "ugly" COMO is currently. But then she just wasn't used to being around white trailer park or redneck trash that go around calling everyone n***r trying to start shite.

I ain't fired up about anything. I find it humorous how fired up certain people do get, on both sides frankly.

Suffice it to say that there is more redneck trash rolling around COMO than my daughter is used to being around. That's part of growing up though. People are called n*****r more there and more openly than she is accustomed too.

Guess what? You're actually giving them exactly all they wanted. They don't give a shite what your position is, only that you're discussing it, even if you're discussing it in terms of hating them. They don't really want anyone fired. If they do, that's irrational as well.

Me too. Honest to God, my first reactions to hearing this was "YES!!!! Now the coaches don't have any choice but to make changes!!!" And I wasn't trying to be funny.

frick everyone of them! Get rid of Loftin and Wolfe, but get rid of the players too for not honoring their scholarships, drawing more negative attention to our unviversity. Most people in the world would kill for a free education, as there are other ways of going about this. Think of the environment these selfish players are creating for the rest of their teammates who have nothing to do with the issue but will be punished because of these selfish players. Most of them are expendable anyway especially Moore with his attitude displayed already towards our fans. I feel like these players could just be setting up a law suit looking for a handout like a lot of other people in today's society.
