Decent article on Booker from a UK guy. Loved hearing this part:

quote:

4. Fan Love

Disclaimer: I do not need to be told that Kentucky fans do a great job with giving recruits attention. I promise I am well aware of this fact.

Booker has made it clear that he was amazed by the fans on his Missouri visits. This may ruffle some feathers, but Missouri fans outdid Kentucky fans in regard to attention with Booker partially because UK has multiple recruits to worry about while Missouri fans are solely concerned with Booker. Mizzou fans chanted his name at the football game, had students with their chests painted to spell out Booker, and have flooded his Twitter with attention. They even took their traditional chant of “M-I-Z… Z-O-U” and changed it to “M-I-Z… DEVIN B” during the game. Missouri fans have simply done a particularly outstanding job at giving Booker the attention that every recruit minus Andrew Wiggins loves.

More on Booker:

Now the chase for Booker is considered a two-horse race between Kentucky and Missouri, with Michigan and Michigan State also still involved.

Booker, meanwhile, the 10th-ranked shooting guard in the 247Sports Composite, could also announce this week.

James Blackmon and Devin Booker BOTH may be announcing this Thursday, October 31st. Booker for certain, while Blackmon is still deciding.

Per Evan Daniels, Devin Booker will make his decision Thursday. Considering Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State and Missouri.

Who knows where he ends up but I like the fact it is so soon after 2 visits to Mizzou and talking with Norm. I was afraid he'd delay it and the further removed from the visits, the less chance I thought we'd have. Hope Thursday is right and hope it brings good news.

Can't be a bad sign but then he said

@GabeDeArmond: But PLEASE don't take that as an indication that we know where he is going. We do not and I don't know anyone who does.

I still like our chances!! MIZ!!

There seems to be some sentiment over on Tigerboard that he's likely to Kentucky. Don't know if that's just talk, or if there is real info behind it. Hope that's wrong.

on the other hand, Namon Wright looks to be a stud.

Who the heck knows. I do think Mizzou has put their best effort in and that's all I could hope for. Will keep the fingers crossed.

They're just anxious and preparing themselves for the worst. Most UK prognosticators are saying the same thing but to Mizzou. Bottom line is I don't think anyone has a clue.

They have done for Booker what the football program did for DGB. They have given their absolute best and that includes the fans. IF Booker goes elsewhere it will not be because Mizzou couldn't get the job done. It would be because he believes Kentucky would give him the best shot to be a National Champion. Personally, I think if he goes to Kentucky he's nothing more than a role player just because they will have so many 5* players.

But his role will be to jack up as many 3's as he can. It's not like they'll have a ton of guys to sit behind there. He'll step right in and start from day 1. The only thing that would change that is if they sign multiple other SG's this class. Blackmon is supposed to be a UK lean and is a combo guard, so he could play SG. Johnson is a toss up between UK and Arizona. If they don't get either of those guys, Booker would pretty much be their only SG.
