I see on Power Mizzou and InsideMizzou that he is no longer a verbal for Missouri.

Did he commit to early and wants to look around or are there bigger fish in play now that have put the heat on??

He has really been looking around at other schools for a while now. This isnt a huge shocker.

Im not a big fan of taking commitments form juniors honestly. Too much happens between their JR years and their SR seasons. He is getting offers from the top schools in the country now and it appears he is going to take a look into some of them.

I understand the sentiment, but you take them anyways. Think about the damage it would do to turn down a highly touted prospect. You keep them locked into the commitment and use it to your advantage.

I think its a double edged sword as well. Is it good for the program to have these JR kids decommit?

I guess its a "damned if I do damned if I don't" situation. Its such a roller coaster for the fans and program supporters.

What I hate to see is people start MF'ing a kid when he decommits or decides to look around. He's a kid and it potentially ruins any chance of continuing to recruit the kid. I doubt many of the recruits read TB or message boards about themselves, but their friends and family do. I truly think we might have had a chance at getting Duron Neal after DGB committed but any chance of that happening went out the window with the fan's reactions to him after he committed to OU.

Durron sure didnt play nice after he committed to OU either to be fair. He did his share of yapping at Mizzou.

I could be way off but to me it seemed in response to catching a lot of shite for choosing OU. He got shite on pretty bad, pretty fast. He probably shouldn't have read any of it, stayed away from twitter and what not, or just ignored it.

It is somewhat of a double edged sword. But the fact is MAYBE they decommit. But if I insult them early I KNOW they arent coming. So you just accept it and hope for the best. If they bounce later then its no different than if you said no originally.
