yet, the guys we have now seem to care less about the Mizzou brand even though they've played at Mizzou longer than Oriakhi did.

Alex won a championship at Connecticut and spent most of his time there, yet he takes time to come watch Mizzou games and we thank him for his contributions to the program by playing shitty uninspired bball.

Alex embraced the Mizzou brand in one year and gave every game his best effort. On the contrary, our current guys haven't embraced anything. They're just running the motions until the season ends.

I both "get it" and "don't get it".

I agree. It's terribly frustrating to say the least.

AO is a great example. Unselfish player, wanted to be at Mizzou, came because he had a friend here, and played as part of the team. That team had good chemistry though, and he was able to fit into the established identity.

Right now, it's all transfers and mew guys, no established identity to fit into, so they're struggling to find chemistry with each other. That's where leadership and coaching come in, and that's where the failure lies this year, IMO.
