Yea, some of those are silly. The leader thing? Yep. How could you possibly know or be in the club house.

He has zero personality. That lends a hint. He's not a cancer by any means, I'm sure he leads by example to a degree. But he's not a leader. He's just not. Doesn't have the assets to be one.

Useless is strong. He has had some bad series as a Cardinal though

In 9 playoff series, he's only done something in 2. He's been totally useless in the rest of them. And one of the good ones came against the Brewers, in which everyone on both rosters crushed the ball. Starters were lasting 3 innings all series.

Ok, but I showed you production numbers from LAST frickING YEAR that showed Holliday was more valuable than Beltran offensively and you ignored them.

Those guys were at very different stages in their career. Beltran got overused and he fell off for awhile in the second half.

In the World Series I can promise that anyone would have rather had Beltran at the plate than Holliday.

He hits 25 or so a year.

He's gone over 25 hr's twice as a Cardinal. Highly doubt he does it this year. Call me a man ahead of the curve, but I'm betting he never gets to 25 again.

He's a doubles hitter in the number 3 hole, that doesn't stress out pitchers like a true home run hitter.

I can agree that he has had problems in the play offs. He has struggled at times.

Holliday is 36. Come one man.

The NL league leader last year had 36. Only 3 players hit over 30. The long ball/steroid era is over.

You want a solid OPS player in the 3 hole that can drive in runs.

Who should we replace Holliday and his production with?

At times?

Try most of the time, bub.

He's been horrible in 7 out of 9 playoff series as a Cardinal.

He's actually 34 with a January birthday, which means he was 33 last year.

Really man? Can you not be a dick? Is it really that hard to have a conversation without all the extra nonsense? Folks have tolerated you through all 4 of your screen name changes/personalities.

The most vitriol you got out of me was calling some of the arguments about Holliday "silly" and calling you out, rightly it appears, for jumping into your usual schtick of ad hominems.

You called me "lost"
Bi-sexual
Incapable of "thought".

Lots of the hallmarks of your past lives on this message board.

Yea, you are right. My mistake.

Why are you being so sensitive?

Suppress the soccer fan in you, bring out the hockey fan.

You already acknowledged that you knew I was joking about the bisexual Holliday theory. So don't back peddle and now act like I was calling you bisexual.

Stop being silly, bub.

It's okay. When your emotions are heightened and you're overly sensitive mistakes are easy to make.

What does you gut tell you about Holliday? Please share.

My gut tells me that he isn't a guy I want hitting with the game on the line, nor do I get excited when he's hitting in the first with runners on.

He's never been a "can't piss now, I might miss something" type of player.

When you think of the magic of Game 6, is Holliday involved? No. Thank god. He'd have singlehandedly killed that rally with a dp. Remember when his bitch arse got picked at 3rd and he hurt his hand? Torty replaced him and hit a bomb in the middle innings to make things closer.

Then Craig struck out looking on a nasty curve that Holliday would have somehow managed to take a gigantic swing at and then proceed to smash into the ground directly at the SS for a dp to end the game.

I guarantee it.

The magic happened because Holliday was sitting his happy arse on the bench.

Frickin Rosenthal. I'm about done with that experiment too.

Well, there is one good thing to come of it. We get to find out if Holliday is Mr. Clutch. Due up 2nd.

His arm is gone.

Put him in a cast like Rookie of the Year and see if he can get the heat back.

Welp, I turn on the radio feed to hear the 9th, and there you go.

This team just doesn't have it folks.

96 isn't 99, and don't count on Motte to come back and light it up either.

This team is missing some major pieces. I'm still gonna stick to my personal judgement day of Memorial Day for a real feel for this team, but my gut tells me this is gonna be an off year.

This home stand might have a turning worm in it, but my gut don't like it.

Here's Holliday...

I kind of find it funny that Holliday gets under some of your skin so bad.

Entertaining.

He has lost command. Because of that he is backing off on the FB a bit and trying to throw that change for strikes instead. Batters are sitting on his off speed stuff now.

Not a good situation. Not good at all.
