The only thing I find troubling with Sasha's case is Anderson being told and nothing being done from there.
That just bothers me, on several levels. As a woman, if someone told me they'd been raped, I couldn't overlook it. Especially if they were someone I knew, and said they'd been raped by someone connected with my job. That's immoral, unethical and terribly cold. On te other hand, it doesn't make any sense that she would have made up a story in her journal either. Maybe she mentioned it but didn't say anything about it having been football players, or maybe Anderson wasn't paying close attention and missed it? I just can't fathom anyone ignoring a girl who says she was raped. If she did, that's beyond awful. And if she knew, and did mention it to anyone else, heads should roll. I just can't see that.

Point taken.
It's crazy though. Stuff happens all the time. I know lots of people who have had an incident of sexual violence. I can't imagine shrugging it off if someone told me it happened to them.

Matter article with Alden's response. A much more fair and even article if you ask me. Maintains confidence in the University and the program while still conceding that there are always things that need to be reviewed and looked at after a situation like this. My own opinion...Matter is a better journalist than anyone at ESPN.
