I hope any and all of you headed to Columbia, Mo enjoy the trip! Columbia is a great college town, there are lots of great restaurants and bars and the campus is beautiful. Plus, I'm sure ya'll will win, so it'll be a great trip all around.
Hopefully next time we have an offense with a pulse and can give you a better game. I'm just apologizing in advance.

Your team this year reminds me of MSU during the Croom years. He actually put pretty good defenses on the field, but they had to play perfect ballgames to give us a shot at winning. Woody McCorvey may have been the worst offensive coordinator in the history of the SEC. The Auburn 3-2 game was classic Croom.

Two years ago our long-time OL coach retired and they brought in AJ RIcker - a former OL player for Mizzou who was currently coaching at Illinois. He was a good college player, and we were excited. Last year was his first season, and the OL started off bad - he tried to teach a new blocking system in the off-season and they didn't have time to completely learn it. So, a few weeks in they return to the old blocking scheme and we won the east.
This season, they are sticking with Ricker's system, and the OL just sucks. The issues are deeper than the OL, but it starts there. We have 2 guys who will likely be NFL players next year, and yet we can't do anything on the OL. Which makes every other offensive position look terrible. We are beat up at RB, and very young at WR and now QB as well. IF the OL could be even average, it would look very different.
It's just painful to watch. The only consolation is that we have a new AD who was very willing to make coaching changes in his prior positions. He has lots of goals that will require raising money - and that's tough do to when your two money-making programs are in the toilet. I predict some changes will be made. We are too talented to play this badly.
Anyway, ya'll have a good team, and I hope it's a better game than I'm expecting.

Thursday night... Possible rain... Disappointing season...
What is your prediction for the crowd on Thursday night?

The crowd will be average. Probably not a totally full house, but a decent crowd. Thursday night games are rough because so many of our fans drive in from KC or St. Louis - night game after working, without good tailgating...it makes it tough. If it's raining, turnout will be lower. But it's not supposed to be too cold (I think low 50s). Maybe 60k or so for the crowd.
I hate games played in the rain - they're sloppy, and anything can happen. Especially injuries.

As Semo touched up on, 70% of our fans live at least 1.5 hours away. This will be the first time I've been to a week night game so I dont know what to expect. I'd like to think at least 63,000? No way it touches 72,000 without promotions.
