Marcus Bush died.

I was sad to see that former MSU running back, Marcus Bush, died of cancer the other day. Marcus and David Fair combined to make one of the best running back tandems to every play hs ball in MS when they played for Willis Wright at Starkville High in the mid-80's.
Both signed with MSU. Fair's career was cut short with a horrific knee injury his freshman year. Bush played from 85-88 and had a nice career during a fairly rough period for MSU football.
I know a lot of "kids" that played against these 2 guys, and some of them still have nightmares about trying to tackle David Fair in the open field. Some backs like to run around you. Some go out of their way to run over you. David Fair loved hitting people. What a shame. The guy was awesome.

RIP, Marcus. They were something else at Starkville High. Willis Wright gets my vote as best Mississippi high school coach of all time.
