The ignorance and negativity you continue to show on this is truly mesmerizing.

Stans and his staff had connections with coaches all throughout Mississippi (especially in Jackson), Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, and Kentucky.
Well Ray has connections in other places and we still have all of those connections.
quote:
Ray has zero recruiting connections nor prestige to land the type of 4 and 5 star guys that Stans, Kirby, Cunningham, and Grant got.
Oh so Ray has no connections? He just coached all these years and never met anyone?
quote:
Expect for Ole Miss and LSU (with Kirby) to get all of the big name recruits in Mississippi now.
We have never had a team filled with MS guys. There's a reason for that. And how many tournament wins did stansbury's awesome coaching and MS players get us? Stop being such a dumbass, Bundy. How do you know Ray can't recruit if he hasn't even had a class yet? Remember how you judged Cohen and everyone told you to shut the frick up? You're doing it again.

hahahaha...really Bundy? Did you doubt Cohen also??
Soooo, you were wrong on Cohen, wrong on Stands...and now you don't think Ray is the correct guy- history shows that is good for Miss State
As I said- a longtime Stands supporter that has been on the Sixpack board forever admitted that we looked much better coached under Ray. Don't you realize how hard that was for him to admit that?
It's not Ray's fault we have no talent left, and you can't properly judge this season on him with the turd Stands left him.

There are an incredible amount of parallels between the two situations.
The only difference I can think of is that Polk hadn't completely let discipline go, but had long since stopped recruiting...while Stans kept recruiting but lost the discipline. At least Stans kept his foot firmly on the throats of OM, while Polk stood idly by and let them build a powerhouse on the backs of Mississippi kids(who were mostly MSU baseball fans) that Polk didn't bother recruiting.
Sometimes you have to make a change. There is no guarantee that the first move will be your best move(Cohen was, Ray is yet to be seen), but that doesn't exclude you from making that move. Ray deserves a chance, just like Cohen deserved a chance, but unfortunately MANY of our fans are too sketchy to give them those chances.
How many idiots jumped off the Cohen bandwagon when we took our lumps in the first 2 years? Openly campaigning against him all over the internet? Half the fanbase probably? That is f'n retarded. I'll admit, if he hadn't succeeded in year 3 with marked improvement, it would have been time to start getting restless... but enough with the idiots declaring someone a failure before they ever get ANY FORM of a chance.
