Agreed on coaches calling pitches...at least until they learn to trust a new catcher.

I still think it was a big arse mistake to redshirt Garner last year leaving us with zero experience from the catcher's position -- with(at least) 3 likely early round pitching talents coming back as JRs...

I agree, especially after Slauter went down with the broken wrist. To me, that would've been a good time to get Garner some work and lighten the load off Ammo. To counter that, we were in the meat of our schedule and it would've been risky throwing Garner in that situation where every win was a must win.
