As you've all seen the SEC has repealed the alcohol ban thus allowing schools to sell alcohol for 2019-2020. Mississippi has a law that bans Alcohol on all State property except if they are declared resort status. Ole Miss has declared their athletic facilities resort status and will be selling Alcohol for this year. Mississippi State has not and does not plan to do so. It appears MSU, Alabama, and Auburn as of now will be the only schools to not sell alcohol at football games as of now. What are your thoughts?

Personally I hope they don't sell them at baseball games because everyone can get some in now if they're smart. I'm 50/50 on football because we have a good student section and pretty good crowds. But I think we need to look at this for men's basketball immediately. This will help draw in fans for a sport that deserves more support that isn't getting it.

What's y'all's thoughts?

Legally in the state of Mississippi alcohol can not be sold on campus at Mississippi State during any game no matter the sport. Ole Miss can sell at the Vaught because it has “resort status”

Get a Sprite bottle, fill it about 3/4 with clear rum, ever clear, et Cetera, top off with Sprite; go on with Life...

I'm lazy. I will pay 8 dollars a beer if i don't have to tote it in. But then again i don't have baseball tickets nor will i ever go to a game only to stand for 4 hours in general admission. Most people in Mississippi are cheap AF. Even if they sell it at the game i don't think they'll end the cooler rules.

The state of Mississippi is DAF on most things and it is infuriating.

I said the resort status in my post. Which is why I said we should focus on making Men's Basketball AKA the Hump resort status first. Since if I understand correctly all of the Ole Miss facilities have been declared resort status.

It wasn't until 2005 that Starkville even sold cold beer. We used to have a system in which we knew when the beer was delivered from the refrigerated truck and we immediately bought it.

You can bring a ‘water’ bottle into the games now. I have plenty to drink every game and so do all of the people who sit around me. Doesn’t bother anyone.
