That other than Joker getting a WR coach position, none of the other former coaches have landed anywhere with all the coaching changes going on? At least I haven't heard of anyone being hired.
Does that speak of how poor our staff was? Just thinking out loud...

I thought we had a pretty decent staff. Chuck Smith for example turned our linebacking core into All Americans.

There were bits and pieces of good, but overall the staff was pathetic.

All UK assistants are on contract until June 30, 2014 and are due full salary until then or until they get another job or collect unemployment benefits. I think all are probably looking - it doesn't look good in the long run to sit around and collect a paycheck from your previous employer just because you can - but they can afford hold out and not take the first job offered.
Smith will probably end up back in the high school ranks or maybe a small college HC or DC job. Summers, Cassity, Sanders, and Nord all have solid D-1 credentials. I think age will start to work against them more than the failure of the Joker regime at UK.

Yeah I knew they were under contract, but I created the thread just to show that no other teams are chasing after our assistants, and does that say anything about them to begin with.
I suspect a couple of them will go to WKU with Petrino when he puts his staff together, as they worked with him at UL.
It just has surprised me that none of them have jobs yet with all of the jobs that have been open/filled this off season already.
