Dear Chicken,
Please make this happen, I think it would be good for traffic and poster growth in the long haul.
Moreover, it would strengthen the SEC Rant community.
I think very few, if any, would be opposed to this idea.

These kinda post are fricking stupid, SEC Rant is just as bad as the OT for being cliquesish, outing people, back channeling, hard legging, and trolling. The only thing that make the OT worse is the amount of posters but even that is closing up.

I am against it. How would an SECr OT be any different than the OT? You're just splitting the OT in half.

Because the ultimate goal is to separate SECRant.com from Tiger Droppings. If that's What's going on, then the SEC Rant needs an OT

1. The TD OT is very Louisiana centric and for good reason approx. 56% of the OT posts from Louisiana.
(These numbers are from early May 2012)
An SEC OT would be a more nationally/regionally centric forum.
2. Chicken obviously created the SEC Rant as a separate forum for a reason (growth I'd imagine).
An SEC OT would help give it some identity separate from the Tigerdroppings community. (growth)
3. The Tigerdroppings OT gets the most traffic when compared to every other board on the TD site.
This should not change even with the creation of an SEC OT.
Why wouldn't you want to try and replicate the success of the TD OT with an SEC OT?

No you're not.
The majority of the OT posters do not post on the SEC Rant at all and there are several SEC Rant posters that don't post on the TD OT.
I really don't see what the downside of creating an SEC OT would be since it's already trying to become less dependent on the tigerdroppings community.
In the end, it's still up to Chicken, my opinion doesn't mean much but I think it's best if people for or against it were better informed.
Just my two cents.

SEC Rant is supposed to be a separate SEC football related board. It was not designed to have an OT, MSB, Movie, Money, or any other boards associated with by a place to discuss each team and recruiting. Hell, if he wanted a completely separate board just go to Dawg Rant.
The only people who seem to really care for OT type board are the ones that participate in IM thread or turn regular threads into IM threads. Majority of SEC Rant is flaming and trolling especially in offseason. Once season begins it will get back to normal which no one is actually sure what normal is on the board.
