Can we fix the markup link button?

When I am looking to add a link by highlighting existing text and clicking the 'link' button, the display value and the URL are backwards. Example:
[link=(Here's some text I want to link)]google.com[/link]
This bug is annoying and has been on the site for years now, but seems like a simple fix. Let me know if I need to address this elsewhere.

I can't markup and quote text on my iPad, but can on my Samsung tablet.
Never have understood why but this thread probably belongs in the help desk forum honestly.
