The tendency is now having a mobile QB who can keep defenses guessing. Watching Lamar Jackson against the girls school last weekend was fun to observe. If UL just had a stout defense it would be a powerhouse team.
The added dimension of a mobile QB is yards gained rushing, the all important stat that wins games. If your QB can even get 60 yds avg per game on the ground it is a big help. The other added bonus is that defenses get exhausted chasing a quick footed QB. The ability to pick up third down conversions is equally important.
The pros are using mobile QBs more and more as the trend shows that it can be successful in the NFL. Even a somewhat mediocre passing QB Tyrod Taylor in college has developed into a pretty decent QB for the Bills. The pros will draft prototype QBs with decent skillsets and develop them into very accurate passers who can elude pass rushes.

I agree. If we atleast change things up like Bama and now LSU is starting to do wouldn’t be a bad thing . We have to have a offensive that’s gets the ball into the playmakers hands a lot more with room to us their skills .
