Hello Gator fans.

I'm looking forward to our matchup next Saturday.

I haven't watched much of y'all this season, what are your strengths/weaknesses? Who should we be looking out for the offensive side of the ball? I know the defense is great but I know nothing about your offense.

Bad QB play
Bad OL play
Terrible in game coaching
AC81 is our only big threat on offense.
Scarlett is our best back but doesn't get the lion share of carries

On defense we are playing DEs at DT and our pass rush is weak against better OLs.
LBers are stout
DBs are susceptible to the big play.

We have a great kicker.

I'll be a bit more diplomatic than TJ.

We don't really know what our team is. We blew a lead playing UTk in Knoxville. We weren't favored to win that game in the first pace, but it still rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way. Then the offense played horribly against Vandy yesterday, and Vandy's back ran all over our D. But I think anyone trying to be rational has to take into account that, despite Vandy being Vandy, Webb is the top rusher in the SEC. So who knows how much of that is our DL being crappy or Webb just being a very underrated back?

Things I will say for sure is that:

Appleby has a big arm but isn't a great decision maker.

Our OL is a shitshow, but when the coaches will stick with Scarlett for more than a down, their play seems to improve. Who knows if Mac is yet willing to accept that unlike at Bama, he doesn't have Eddie Lacy as the fourth-string backup.

Our defense looks great at times, but conditioning may be a factor. At times they don't look very good at all. Our DBs aren't as good as they seemed to think they were prior to UTk, but they aren't garbage either.

We have some pretty good receivers, but a lot depends on the OL's ability to handle a pass rush and the QB's ability to find them when they are open. Both Appleby and LDR have struggled with this.

Honestly, playing LSU at home this week will probably be the defining moment of the season, and we will know a whole lot more about the team after than we do at the moment.

I will add that I earmarked this game back in April as a win and still do...only because of home field advantage and the effort that will take place to end the three game streak.

The LSU vs UF series, other than 2011 when we had injured starter at QB and were forced to use two true frosh and the game was out of hand ..one of true frosh got injured against Bama (as did our starter), so Jacoby Brissett was thrown to the wolves and he got slightly injured in the game in red stick...then we were decimated.

Take out 2011 and we always play close games in recent history. 2016 will be no exception most likely. Its a noon game and LSU doesnt like day games. Our defense throttled everyone til the second half of the UT game and its still lethal and I imagine we lead SEC in total defense or at least 2nd place. Offense was performing much better til Del Rio was injured, but he doesnt have strong arm...accurate but not strong.

Some folks are blaming Appleby for the poor performance against Vandy...I dont. Our OL was handled by VU most of the game and running was difficult at best and passing not much better. Appleby has the rocket arm but like any QB, needs time to throw.

I expect us to stop LSUs run game most of the time, Guice is fast and powerful and a crease could mean we are chasing him to the house. Our run game hasnt been that great overall....no breakaway threats. Accurate throws and enough runs to make third downs doable is what we will try to do. Arden Key is a great pass rusher and I havent heard Neal's name, whats up with him? We have a pass rush by committee and Zuniga is a very capable rusher along with our LBs. We play a lot of man and you dont want obvious passing downs cause Tabor and Wilson will steal the ball.

Hate the 12 noon start but hope the LSU faithful enjoy the trip but not the outcome.

Florida's front is undersized and hurting.

LSU has bigger guns, and more of them, especially at the skill positions.

Florida is going to struggle to score, no matter who is QB, but especially if it is Appleby.

It may be close early, if the defense plays well, but I think LSU rolls in the 2nd half after UF defense gets tired similar to the UT game.

Florida has done a good job protecting the football, so if LSU makes mistakes on turnovers, that is about the only way I see Florida winning.
