Ok...here it is and putting this out for comments, but watch replays to get a definite grip. I haven't seen replay of game yet...but I will.

Question: is Franks afraid of contact? Don't laugh, he could be..Im not sure. I thought his moving feet was caused by excitement...but some QBs hate to stand in the pocket and take hits....so is he?

If he is unable/unwilling to stand in the pocket and take hits we are in deep doo doo my friends. Even the famous Peyton Manning had that issue at UT and he got "happy feet" all the time when he had pressure and he was built just like Franks. He got over it in the pros...he had to.

Tom Brady looks bad with no protection. Franks did well when he had time

Is Franks ready? Idk, but the main problem imo is the o line just as it has been for the last 7 years. That I place solidly on the coaching staff. Am I wrong?

I just watched every snap that Franks took in a game replay on YouTube. The 2 deep passes he connected on with Cleveland (1 was underthrown but Cleveland came back for it) were both drop back and throw plays where Franks didn't move...the only other straight throws were fly screens that got blown up by poor blocking.

Two other straight throws were bad throws on a clothes line type fastballs that needed more arch/touch and allowed DBs to bat them away. All other times Franks was running.

I think a telling statement was by Holly Rowe that stated Franks seemed loose and joking but just before kickoff he took deep breaths which indicated nerves.

Among the disasterous plays were run play that Toney completely whiffed a block on a DB allowing Perine to be tackled for a loss and Thompson missed a blitzing LB.

A big turning point was the holding flag on Thompsons big run. OL held and the main reason there was room to run. Of course I saw many holds by UM and block in the backs a blind man could see.

Marco Wilson acquitted himself well but some other frosh were a liability.

The offensive play calling/execution was awful.

He was nervous for his first ever collegiate start at the home of the Dallas Cowboys?? What a pussy!
