4 underclassmen on their offensive line. Man oh man we finna eat.

QB: 3 passes, one completion in his entire career.
RB: Dallas -- solid year last year. Backup RB has zero experience.
X-Receiver: Buffalo transfer. Decent 2018 but it's at Buffalo...
Z-Receiver: Three receiving TDs last year.
F-Receiver: 0 TDs last year.
Tight End: Really good year, it'll be interesting to see who they put on him.
Offensive Line: All trash.

Honestly, this would be worse than losing to Kentucky.

At least we were implementing a new system, missing two solid defensive players against the run (CeCe and David Reese obviously made a huge difference) with a coach in his first year against a super motivated team.

This is a coach in his first year with an underclass offensive line with little to no experience blocking for a QB, a backup RB (for last year) and their top receiver is a fricking transfer from Buffalo.

I will lose faith in Mullen if we drop this game, no matter what the excuses or bad luck we have. There is zero reason this game should be close.

It could be close though. I won't go in doomsday mode if it is yet though. First games almost always have mistakes and errors, and that's what worries me. Miami has the talent too, so if we get off to a rough start because of turnovers, then who knows what could happen.

But, on paper, we should rape them --- hard.

If he does win a close one, eh, it sucks and I'll lose some confidence, but if he can bounce it back by beating UK on the road and embarrassing Tennessee again, then we would be redeemed for a bit. In my opinion.

The only remotely worrying part of that chart is the LB group, Garvin, Thomas has some speed, and Jordan at TE(we struggled quite often with TE's). Now that our defense has had a year to understand Grantham's scheme...holy frick we will light that Oline up.

Miami shouldn't score more than 1 TD in this game. Still I think their defense gives us some trouble early. Hoping people don't panic and freak out if we don't light the scoreboard up. We can win this game playing it safe with how green their offense is. The line is 7 1/2...but I'd take UF at -13 still. 24-6 could very well be the score and I'd be fine with it.

I’m hoping Burney will cover their TEs if Dean can’t. Mixing it up with blitzes and coverage changes will be good too on a R-FR QB.

A first time start against Grantham's defense is not going to be a fun day for him. Especially now since the players on our side understand it more.

Honestly, the way I see them beating us is if their QB has a Drew Lock type of day. Just goes back, picks the matchup and makes accurate passes.

I think, though, it'd just be a perfect storm for us if their entire team was somehow wunderkind -- OL gave him enough time to throw, Manny is actually an A++ coach, Enos is an OC God etc. etc.

That's the way I see us losing. Outside of that, I just really have no idea how except for blind luck.

Yea..we'd have to make a lot of mistakes as well. I feel very comfortable with the game. I do respect their defense more than you(obviously), but doesn't mean I have an ounce of respect for their offense. That offense is about to get smacked around, hard. All we need to do on offense is just play it smart, don't force anything, and it will be fine. Also I am itching to see Copeland finally. Think he is going to be an incredible weapon for the next two years before he goes in the first round.

The offensive side of the ball I don't worry about because I know even if they come out strong, their offense won't be producing the first downs regardless.

Really, at this point, any one of our receivers is a dangerous threat to do damage. Imagine having to guard Pitts, Toney, Jefferson and Grimes in a package.

Even just handing off to Perine in that situation, any of those guys can make big plays.

My worry is, though, that their offense does find some momentum and makes a few passes to either their TEs as you stated or plays on the edge.

But just look at the size of their receivers. There's no way a bubble screen is going to work, nor are they going to get a lot of blocking production from the edge. Similarly, Wilson and Henderson can both jam their opponents because they're both...surprisingly, bigger.

Yea I was thinking about that too. How do they block the edge with those tiny arse frickers .

I mean I still have a certain worry about Frank's but I'm assuming he has improved even more because I trust Mullen completely when it comes to QB's. He will probably never be a 65+ completion percentage QB, but if he can get to 60 percent and make a very big time throws a game that really is what we need. Add in no one has a secondary deep enough to handle our WR group one on one except maybe LSU and Bama. This year needs to start already...

Listening to Manny's press conference right now. He basically spent 3-4 minutes saying how good Florida is. You can tell he is trying to make sure Miami fans know this before the game for a reason

They've already got the contingency plan to blame Richt for not having enough players.

I think this may be the most confident I have ever been for a rivalry game outside of FSU last year.

Same...well that and every Tenn game because at this point they will find a way to lose even if we suck that year
