Cornerback depth looks like a concern. UF was down to four scholarship cornerbacks Saturday. That doesn't leave much wiggle room in case of injury or other attrition.
The lack of depth there made it a little hard to evaluate quarterbacks — did the quarterback make a great throw to help get a receiver open, or was the coverage lacking? Feleipe Franks seemed sharper than Kyle Trask, who struggled early while wearing a glove on his throwing hand. He removed the glove later in practice.
UF's top two receivers remain the two transfers, Van Jefferson (Ole Miss) and Trevon Grimes (Ohio State). The Gators haven't yet announced whether Jefferson has been granted a waiver for immediate eligibility by the SEC (although both have been cleared by the NCAA). Assuming Jefferson can play, he'll be a big target for Franks/Trask.
This isn't new, but it's still interesting to see T.J. McCoy working as the third-string center after starting nine games there last year. Redshirt junior Nick Buchanan has been working with the starters at that position; he appeared in three games over his first three seasons.
