I take the opposite approach. Jalon will win a Heisman at UF

Book it. Sharpie.

I understand both 'it's just high school' and 'we have something promising'.

For me: Let's measure the things that we can. He's a Quarterback who runs a 40 like WRs and CBs, he's top 100 in the country (including those players). Raw physical talent, he's a great guy to have on campus.

Then: Look at his good and bad qualities. The bad qualities he has can be fixed by a Summer camp (how to secure the ball), and the good qualities are how he always keeps his eyes downfield, his release is situational (he doesn't have a robotic wind up every pass) and his processing speed is very high.

Even with his processing speed being high, he seems to like to run a lot, which is a huge plus in this offense. Teams will literally have to spy on him every single play because if he gets out of the pocket and runs, he's strong, tall and stupidly quickfooted.

I won't say he'll win a Heisman, but I think he'll be at least in the talks.

He likes to run and looks dangerous in the open field when doing so. Just gotta quit carrying that ball like a loaf of bread .. cringe lol

I know he's strong but palming the ball with one point of contact definitely is pretty terrifying.

We all have to simmer down with high school players, its a HUGE jump to SEC speed and SEC defenses...very few true frosh come out of the box ready to go.

Some may not like this...but he could redshirt when all is said and done...or he may be the next Tua? We don't know yet and I'd hate to see pressure on his shoulders when he gets off the yellow school bus. He wouldn't be the first or the last high school player to be crowned prematurely. He definitely has the tool box to work with, but again SEC is a far cry from Henrico High School.

True frosh can excel at other positions. especially DBs, WRs, etc etc. But we also have had a ton of players to take two years to develop at even those positions. He could be the next Tebow (kind of) by adding 25 lbs of muscle. I cant wait for 2019. I also want to see our pass rusher Chatfield after redshirting this year. Moon is another player...although older, he is one of those 6'6" guys that is just now growing into his body. He could be our next terror on wheels like Alex Brown?

No one's saying he's going to be a Freshman phenom, but he has every single characteristic you want from a good Quarterback outside of carrying the ball like a loaf of bread he just stole.

He has the frame: 6'3''.

He has the speed: Top 100 (best 40 of his combine)

He has the vision: Always looking downfield.

He has the agility: Runs like an RB at times.

That is exactly what you want in a Mullen offense, and he will be the next Gator great. Maybe not next year, but it helps more than it hurts to have him.
