2019 5 star QB Chris Steele will be taking an official visit to Florida on 9/8/18. Big target. #SwampSquadXIX

Far to early for me to care about anything in recruiting. I save my energy for the fall in that regards. Though always nice to see a commit, who knows. To early in the game for me to get excited about a player. These kids change their minds constantly.

Yeah, but this thread is definitely for talking about visitors. I don't put much stock until the day comes with the LOI. All before is speculation (albeit fun speculation). However, we have no idea what this depth chart, let alone roster is going to look like after transfers and the like.

I don't think everyone is going to make it out of the S&C program.

Very good size for a junior. Need some big fellas able to shed blocks in a 3-4.

Anyone know if Diamanté Howard was in town for junior day? Was/is a cane commit, but said he is open to all coaches now.

Having four and five star players matter if you want to be a championship contender (but there’s no denying that there are 3 star guys that play above their recruit ranking), but the ranking of 2019 guys right now, before any big camps or these guys senior season, are useless.

These guys both could end up four stars. A lot of moving and shaking is still to be done. Their current ranking means jack shite.

You guys are 100% correct these guys could move up or they could move down or stay right where they are.

Should not be taking commitments from players we could get anytime we want them cause if these guys were wanted by the big boys they would already have them if this player from Bama get a aubie or Saban offer he gone anyway

Albino, we are one of the big boys.

Bama signs three stars, so what? You cant sign 25 four or five star guys....stop.

We have 29ish spots this class.

If we can replace them with better players then they will have their scholarship taken away and pick a different school. It happens literally all the time.

Don't look at ratings now, look at offers. Schools are way ahead of recruiting services in terms of evaluations at this point.

For instance, Justin Fields was a 3 star at this point who blew up at camps over the summer.

On the two commits:

The LB has elite size, there are some questions about speed and burst. No instate offers from Bama or Auburn. They would have seen film because he was teammates with Auburn 18 signee Coynis Miller.

The WR has great separation. Does track as well but not elite. Should have a decent forty time. Measured 6'2" at UF Jr day

Good point. Well put. Pretty sure the WR has some solid offers too, I think I saw Ohio state, Michigan, Georgia have all offered among other

The more video clips I see of Clement and Pierce...the more I think we are going to have a stable of talented RBs. I know the competition that Clements played against at times wasn't all that great...but he has that burst and size. He is a long strider and has a second gear.
