Anyone else play the Halo Infinite Insider Beta?

I got my invite to play/test Halo Infinite for this weekend. Game runs incredibly smooth. It’s a lot like 3 but with faster movement and better hit reg. Graphics are great. Power weapons are randomized. The progression system is strange though, you only get XP from completing challenges in matches. 343 finally did a good job. Looking forward to see if they actually release a Battle Royal, rumors seem to be pointing in that direction.

I played the first test a little while back but out of town for this one.
I thought it was just okay but limited sample size.
Didn't seem like anything special felt kinda like a new CoD.

Have you had trouble with servers being laggy? Every time my game gets laggy I go check my connection and I am still getting 200mbps. I am hoping it’s a tuning issue on their end and not something going on at my end. Regardless I like the game so far, I wish they would improve some quality of life things like automatically queuing you for a next game after the first one finishes. Also, filling spots in games where people dropped, if someone drops the game is completely imbalanced. Those are really my only two big issues so far, I wish the battle pass experience points would include kills and assists, but that’s not a huge deal.

My game ran smooth as hell yesterday with zero lag or issues. One game last night my ping was really high but other than that it’s been great.

I’m not going to lie.
I have been shitting in halo for years now..well deserved mind you.
This new one actually looks like it could be solid and I’m surprised by it. The maps are nice. I think the pistol should be a little stronger. Not much. A Battle Rifle slayer mode will be needed.
I think they flush some stuff out, take feedback seriously, learn a bit from this beta and the final product will be a much better product that I thought it would be.
For the first time since the 360 I kind of wish I had an Xbox for an exclusive. Time will tell.

It’s definitely the best one they’ve released since 3 IMO it’s way more of a classic feeling halo which they never should have went away from. And I agree if they want to compete with major titles whether you like BRs or not they need to release one.

I think the sandbox they built is a really good start. A lot of things need to be cleaned up but the game is fun. They’ve built a perfect sandbox to dominate the Battle Royale market and own the player base for a long while.

Played some more and ya not a big fan. Feels like a generic CoD skinned to Halo.
I was bored after just a few matches, but I was never a Halo guy.

Honestly this is the best Halo has felt since Halo 3. Played an absolutely intense match of CTF earlier.
No game does Capture the Flag as well as Halo.

The recent update videos for multiplayer and campaign have looked great.
I'm pretty surprised at the improvement from the campaign trailers from 2019 to now, really happy they postponed it and got it right.
Starting to get pumped for this, especially the MP being free to play.

Beta has been over. The recent bump was from campaign info/video.
I just watched it and it looks fun.
But m, the fact that MP is free.... it’s gonna take a lot for me to go out my way to purchase campaign. Maybe if I buy new x box with halo bundle
