While at one time expanding Williams-Brice by simply stacking an upper deck over the north end zone -- the only side of the stadium that doesn't have one -- would have been the most likely course of action, that just doesn't make much sense in the current climate.

Adding premium seating, however, is a different story.

"That's an area we would love to enhance as quick as we possibly can," Tanner said Friday following approval from USC's Board of Trustees for three major facilities projects. "That's an area we're lacking. Philosophically, I don't have a major problem with where we are as far as (total) seats. Is 84,000 enough? Do we need to go to 94-95 (thousand)? I would prefer to do in a premium way if we can enhance what we offer in the way of premium seating. I think that would enhance our stadium more than anything."

"We've had a couple of meetings this week about our Wi-Fi capabilities and what we need to do to enhance that and what type of investment that's going to take," Tanner said. "We're headed into the area of fan experience. You want to have a great product and success on the field, or in your venue whatever it may be, but you have to have that technology that exists and you have to have opportunities that our fans can't have at home."

The plan and hope is to add Wi-Fi capability to the premium areas for the 2014 season with an eye on the entire stadium in the future.

"We've got to get into an environment that everybody does have service and connectivity," Tanner says.

This is awesome, b/c this wifi issue was my #1 issue, when I did that survey for them a couple weeks ago.
