I would throw special teams in this as well. Not allowing a short field will be huge.

Agreed. I suspect UGA will do their best to take the Deebo equation out of the ST’s game. Field position is going to be big. I don’t know much about Carolinas kickers, but Hod Rod has been money for UGA.

I just saw that Ledbetter, their started DE just got injured in practice.

I hate injuries and you never wanna hear about college players getting injured, but it sounds like he'll be ok after this week, just maybe out for this game.

Could be a huge swing

Unless it's just a miss, I don't expect Deebo to have any return opportunities. They'll kick it deep or to the other side.

Re: our kickers... I'd say we have the best punter in the conference, maybe the nation, in Charlton. He can boom it as well as place it. White can kick it a long way, but his FG accuracy over 40 yards was abysmal last season. He's supposedly gotten better, but who knows as he didn't get an opportunity last week against Coastal. As far as kickers, I'd give the edge to USC for punting and UGA for place kicking, simply because there is a big unknown with White.

I don't know how Saturday's game will play out. But after watching our guys speaking to the media after last weeks game and the media availability this week, I don't think I've ever seen our guys more mentally and physically prepared than they are this season. And I've been watching Carolina football since the 1970's.

I think we're going to push in the puppies poopers.

Our whole offense is SOOOoo much better than last year. Defense is probably around where we were last year. Special Teams is probably going to be better as Parker White can't be much worse.

Things going for us this game:
3:30 kickoff in Williams Brice. Our players on the sideline will be in the shade the 2nd half, their players will be enjoying all that sun and 93 degree/65% humidity. So they'll be feeling like it's 100 degrees.

Their RB situation isn't nearly as good as last year. They know that.

They lost many starters on defense.

Williams Brice is going to be loud AF.

Then there's the secret techo weapon.

Ledbetter matters, but the lack of depth on the DL is overstated. It's the least stacked, if you will.

Regarding heat-

UGA will have all the misters and cold towels and whatnot. And they also practice and condition in the heat as well. I think both teams drop a big boy to cramps at some point.
