Elliott - Robinson had a pitiful scrimmage, but came back today's practice. Trains all the guys to practice like they are the 1st team guy regradless if they really are or not. When the HC said that the OL is soft, he agreed, that day they were bad. Spurrier said that directly to the OL as well. Run blocking is going really well. Doesn't know if Cody will be back for the game. Pushed the guys harder this camp than in years past. Mason is the 1st backup tackle to go in on either side.
Sands - Mike Davis is a little ahead of Wilds and Carson and will be the starter, but all 3 will play. David earned this by making more plays in scrimmage. Salley has a lack of focus right now. Davis is the best pass blocker.
David WIlliams - Hopes to contribute as much as he can this year. He feels the best case would be to work in and start getting around 5 carries a game. His parents are coming to the first game.
Byrd - His leg is fine. He feels like he's a top 6 WR, but it's not sure yet. The rotation is still in effect. Playing mostly at the Z since Bruce has been hurt. Also playing some slot. Hamstring is ok, it's been a problem for a while and he just has to keep in under control. Kane Whitehurst is the 2nd fastest guy on the team.

haha I write for a student organization called Garnet Report, we just got full credentials last semester so we're now seen as media. Although, honestly as long as you have a tape recorder handy and walk into the practice and tell them you're media, they'll let you walk right in

So we'll be getting all of this "insider" notes posted here, or at least the link to your reports for the Garnet Report?

certainly. I overslept practice today and only got there in time for the Elliot interview though
but I will be on time for the rest of the practices.
if you didn't read on any of the other Gamecock sites or twitter handles, Pharoh Cooper was working with Spurrier Jr. a solid 20+ minutes after practice ended today working on his timing off the line. That's the only "insider" stuff I have for today though
