Morning cocks. I have a friend of mine with a child preparing for a bone marrow transplant. Details are in the GoFundMe, but they could use some help. Whether or not you can give monetarily yourself, please share the link around on social media!

Okay so, I'll come up with a way to contribute anonymously, without my name showing on that GoFundMe page. Plus I have a lot of wealthy friends in Gaffney that I am sending this to right now - and the mayor up there, Chicken Jolly, is a close personal friend of mine. I'll see if he will get involved on some level. I know he has to be careful with this kind of stuff but if ever there was a good cause this seems like it ... I'll give him a call this morning.
ETA: So I'm already hearing back from friends who know Ashton and his parents via The Village School. This thing will start rolling now. Texted it to several doctor and attorney friends up there plus I have a call into Chicken ... he'll call me back soon and when he does we'll get the ball really rolling.
Hopefully some more of our fellow Gamecocks will contribute ... this checks out as a really good cause.

Rooster, you're the man! FWIW, I am the one managing that campaign for the family. If you are able to do a donation and want to keep it anonymous, I would be the only one to see your name.
But, I've known the Jolly family my entire life. Mayor's son and my uncle were best friends growing up and I was brought along on some of their excursions to their lake house as a youngin. I've always thought a lot of that family. Thanks for your help!!

Yep ... so, I've had people calling and texting me back all morning. High school sweethearts, construction worker and dental hygienist ... Ashton is precious. Seems like word is spreading.
I'm glad you're doing this. These nice people need our help.

Lungbuster ... I know of several checks headed your friends way today and over the course of the next couple of days. Thank you for giving us a heads-up.
This is a worthy cause.
Got a call from a friend of mine this morning, said he spoke with you yesterday.
You're a good man.

I heard lots good about you too Rooster. Thank you so much for helping me spread this word around!
I hope to bring my wife, oldest daughter, and one of her friends down for the Marshall game this year for her birthday. If you're in town for that one, I'll buy you a drink or two. Thanks again sir!

I'll take you up on that. One check went to the church today. Another, I think you know about, went to the Go Fund Me page Another will either hit the Go Fund Me page in the next couple of days, or the church, or I can just have her mail it directly to you. There will be more, those are just the ones I confirmed today.
I hope it helps. Heard nothing but good things about the family ... good people. You're doing a good thing and I was glad to help. I've got a coulple of events coming up ... hope to score some more and keep it trickling-in friend.

They told me about the one received at church and I just kept it silent. And yes, I saw the other on the GFM last night. Either way on the other is fine.
It'll all definitely help financially, but it's helping lift their spirits through all of the support received from the local community thus far. Next week, the high school football and basketball teams are throwing him a birthday party. Later in the week, the guy who dresses up as Batman (came to the funeral of the kid who died from gunshot at the school in Anderson last year, or the year before) is coming down to Comic-Con in Greenville on the 24th and he's invited Ashton to come hang out with him there. He'll also go to his school the following Monday and take him for a ride around town in the Batmobile.
For all the negativity in the world, it is reassuring to see that there is good in people's hearts still. So many people are reaching out to the family and I can tell you, they are grateful and humbled by it all. Thank you again for what you've done!
