First off, Ole Miss has a POWERFUL offense, they have all year. But there is NO reason for 600+ yards in 3+ quarters

Secondly, I think Jake found his recipe for success, cause he’s on fire. I figured 250 rushing, but it’s on the passing game where success has been found. He’s gonna have his career high barring injury.

Third, I don’t think we will have enough people left to play the rest of the season.

I felt like our coaches were trying to protect our back end guys so much they made our defense soft and passive for 3 quarters. At some point, you have to let the guys play and live with the results. The backfield may be inexperienced and may get beat, but damn they're D-I scholarship players, time to quit babying them at expense of the whole defense.

Soon as we started playing more press man defense, the defense looked pretty good and helped win the game. We need to quit this lax defense from 20 to 20 just hoping to stop touchdowns and actually play aggressively the whole field.

It was about what I expected ... a shootout.

We're waaaaaay too damn thin in the secondary right now.

I'd look for us to throw some freshmen out there against UF, sit them for UTC, then let them play out the remainder of the season. That's four games.

Doesn't look good on the injury front. Six I injured, four may be out for awhile and God Bless Rico, that kid just keeps having bad luck and I saw it the moment it happened, it was avoidable. They need to outlaw the whip down calf tackle. So many players being injured on that time of tackle.

Glad UF lost but I'm not sure if that's going to help us or not. Maybe we find a way. This game may give our offense a lot more confidence. On the other side of the ball we'll probably be facing a new QB.

I love it that Bentley is finally running the ball a little bit.

So Jamyest Williams and Javon Charleston are done for the season. Both will have surgery this week; Jam on his shoulder and Javon on his ankle. Not sure about the rest that were injured.

This sucks big time.

ETA: Ibe and Harvey are out for Saturday. The others injured will be available.
