Pastor is usually pretty witty/funny. During the sermon today he wanted to address all the members asking him about 'who they should vote for and who is he voting for.' He wasn't having it. Told them to put allegiance to God first and to let that guide them, but he wasn't going to talk politics with anyone. (We have city, county and state house politicians on both sides of the aisle...on both sides of the aisles so to speak...so that's smart on his part)
That led to a talk about the US Constitution and separation of church and state. He said that's why the Catholics went to Massachusetts, the Quakers went to Pennsylvania, the Presbyterians went to the Mountains, and, "as my father told me, the godless criminals went to Georgia."
I LOL'd.
